Why are you proud of your MADE SAFE® Certification?
Ingredient safety is an essential part of our mission at Good Condition. Being MADE SAFE® certified enables us to offer skin care products that reflect our clients’ values and work towards creating a more sustainable future.
Why is it important to have third-party validation for your products?
The third-party validation system used by MADE SAFE® is important because it adds an extra layer of quality assurance for our clients. Women today are looking for products that are safe to use, all natural, and ethically sourced. By undergoing the stringent MADE SAFE® certification process, our clients can feel confident that they’re making the best choice for themselves and the environment.
Why did you start your company?
I started Good Condition because I found it impossible to shop for premium skincare without bringing home tons of packaging. I wanted better choices, and I believe that other women do, too. Beauty and sustainability can exist in harmony, and we’re proof of that.
How are your products different from other, more conventional, products in the space?
Our products stand out in so many important ways! To begin, our moisturizers are all solid. Solid moisturizers last longer than conventional, and they do not create water waste in the production process. Additionally, our moisturizers are 100% organic, ethically sourced, all-natural, and handmade in small batches. Best of all, our beautiful packaging is both naturally biodegradable and recyclable. We will never utilize plastics in our products or packaging!
What’s the one thing you would never do as a maker of better products?
I would never utilize anything other than premium, organic ingredients in my moisturizers.
What do you wish shoppers thought about more, and why?
I wish beauty shoppers thought more about alternatives to plastic packaging. According to statistics from the Zero Waste Week research, plastic packaging waste from the beauty industry reaches over 120 billion units of packaging annually. Climate change is inevitable if brands don't reconsider their approaches and shift to ecological and sustainable standards. At Good Condition, we’re proving that it can be done every day. Our moisturizers are a luxurious, plastic-free self-care experience!
What’s the one product in your line you can’t live without, and why?
I can’t live without The Night Recovery. It has become a staple, and I use it obsessively. Okay, I’m addicted!
What have you done to make your life healthier (i.e., do you meditate daily, practice mindfulness, yoga, walk, etc.), and why?
I love walking along the St. Johns River, right by my house. The breeze is calming, and experiencing the water, even visually, brings me peace. I’ve also found a yoga studio near our shop in San Marco that my whole family now attends. We can literally walk there from Good Condition!
