What makes you proud of your MADE SAFE® Certification?
MADE SAFE Certification brings a confidence in the consumers about the safety profile of the products. We understand the importance of having a safety certification for a 100% natural product as well. MADE SAFE ensures the certified products are safe, healthy, and nontoxic for the consumers. Each ingredient is diligently analyzed for toxic effects for the humans and the environment as well. MADE SAFE helps us to hold our products to a high standard and ensure that we are using the best and safest ingredients for people and nature.
Why did you start your company?
We are a Green Beauty Brand with a team of Ayurvedic doctors on a mission to provide natural beauty and wellness products for society that are free of harsh chemicals. There are many brands which sell beauty products with claims such as natural, organic or Ayurvedic, but are loaded with harsh chemicals in it. This is why HERBCIENCE came into existence: to provide a high quality safe and natural product.
How are your products different from other, more conventional, products in the space?
HERBCIENCE products are 100% natural and 100% safe, with certifications from ECOCERT-COSMOS Natural and MADE SAFE, which are the global standards. For utmost efficacy, we infuse approximately 35% of medicinal herbs and do the fresh extraction of the herbs in-house, no readymade extracts are used.
What do you wish shoppers understood about the kind of products you make?
Consumers should read the label before buying any personal care products, as there is absorption of all the ingredients added into it. Any harsh chemical that gets into the body, accumulates and could potentially lead to health hazards like hormonal imbalances, reproductive issues etc. Hence it is really important to have awareness about the harsh chemicals and their side effects.
What’s the one thing you would never do as a maker of better products?
As a maker of better products, there should be transparency maintained and the complete list of ingredients should be disclosed so that the consumer has a clear understanding on what is being applied on his/her skin and hair. At HERBCIENCE, we strive to exemplify this transparency and disclose the complete ingredients list and also the process details such as the procurement of the raw material, their analysis reports, and the analysis reports of final product.
What is your concern around chemicals in our daily lives?
The use of chemicals in daily life will lead to their accumulation in the body’s organs and could contribute to health hazards like cancer, reproductive issues, hormonal imbalances etc. Hence, we have to be cautious and select the products by reading the label and understanding the effects of the ingredients utilized.
