Transformation Partners powered by MADE SAFE offers in-depth, iterative, and interactive ingredient improvement reviews and guidance. Companies set the objectives and work with us to transform their products over time in order to achieve their sustainability goals. 

The Transformation Partners program offers a way to craft more sustainable products for a circular economy, improve formulations, and deliver against ESG or CSR goals. 

To work with us, companies should prepare to take a journey to formulate even better products delivering on ecosystem excellence. For a greener tomorrow, we must make products that are not harmful to humans, air, water, or soil. By doing so, we will make products that will help create a resilient world. 

Through data-driven insights, our team partners with companies developing a specific formulation, building a palette of ingredients, or improving a specific ingredient. The work produces a tactical roadmap to underscore company strategy. 

Using the Ecosystem Approach to analyze substances, companies will discover  opportunities for improvement, receive suggested alternatives, or propose new alternative substances for review. Each substance is assessed against a Red List of over 15,000 ingredients targeted for removal. Other ingredients will be further evaluated for suspected human toxicity; environmental toxicity; persistence in soil, sediment, air, and water; harm to aquatic life; and harm to terrestrial life. Additionally, contamination and manufacturing impurities can be assessed.

This transformative program gives companies a deep and complete understanding of their current substance sustainability status. It can also direct selections for formulations undergoing review or for new products. The results allow companies to prioritize future product development. As corporate ESG and consumers push R&D to become more sustainability-focused, this work provides a tangible way to signal a commitment to doing the work to learn and identify opportunities for change in the short and long term. It also devotes resources to developing new technology or manufacturing inputs where needed and provides a science-based narrative to underpin future decisions around product formulation shifts or enhancements.

Transformation Partners screening can also assist companies who wish to improve their products so they may achieve certification in one or both of our other programs. Based on your screening results, our team will guide reformulation and ingredient selection so that the product can earn MADE SAFE certification and/or Red List powered by MADE SAFE certification.
