Why are you proud of your MADE SAFE Certification?
We are incredibly proud of our MADE SAFE® Certification because it reflects our company-wide commitment to creating products that are safe for moms, babies, and the planet. This certification is a testament to our dedication to transparency, rigorous safety standards, and our belief that families deserve products free from harmful ingredients.
Why is it important to have third-party validation for your product(s)?
Third-party validation, like the MADE SAFE® Certification, is essential because it provides moms and families with the confidence that our products meet the highest safety and sustainability standards. This transparency helps build trust and reinforces our mission to support families with products they can rely on.
Why did you start your company?
In 1984, our founder, Resheda Hagen, faced the challenges of motherhood with no effective solutions for the pain she experienced while breastfeeding. Determined to find relief, she discovered the healing power of lanolin and pioneered a safe, ultra-purified balm that worked for both mom and baby. Her vision was simple: to create safe, effective products that empower moms and nurture families. That vision has expanded to meet the needs of today’s families and continues to guide everything we do.
How are your products different from other, more conventional, products in the space?
From our ultra-purified lanolin to our innovative pregnancy, postpartum, and feeding solutions, every Lansinoh product is crafted to support the changing needs of moms and babies. We prioritize safety, sustainability, and effectiveness, and ensure that each product is free from harmful chemicals. Unlike conventional products, we don’t just meet industry standards; we strive to exceed them.
What’s the one thing you would never do as a maker of better products?
At Lansinoh, we would never compromise on safety or transparency. Families trust us to provide products that are not only effective but also safe for their health and the environment. Moms invite our products into some of their most personal, meaningful moments — and honoring that responsibility is non-negotiable.
What do you wish shoppers thought about more, and why?
We love it when shoppers choose what feels right for their unique family. Parenthood is deeply personal. There is no single "right" way to do this. We wish shoppers felt empowered to tune out the noise and focus on what aligns with their values. Selecting products rooted in safety, quality, and real-life understanding can help make those early days feel more supported. You are doing a great job, and we are honored to be part of your journey.
What’s the one product in your line you can’t live without, and why?
That’s a tough choice, but I’d have to say Lanolin. Our HPA® Lanolin remains at the heart of what we do and is a product we simply can’t live without. It’s where our story began, and it continues to provide comfort and relief to moms around the world. Its purity, safety, and effectiveness make it a trusted companion for breastfeeding moms, and it embodies our commitment to supporting families with care and compassion. (Fun fact: it also makes a great lip balm, too!)
What have you done to make your life healthier (i.e., do you meditate daily, practice mindfulness, yoga, walk, etc.), and why?
For me, living healthier has become less about rigid routines and more about being present. I try to take walks whenever I can (sometimes just a few quiet minutes outside to reset!) but the biggest shift has been protecting intentional, quality time with my young daughter. Whether we’re reading before bed, playing outside, or simply slowing down together, those moments ground me. They remind me why this work matters.
